The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain with lightning in the next 24 hours from 8am Monday.
“Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes are likely at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” the Met office’s latest bulletin said.
Elsewhere, weather may remain mainly dry under a partly cloudy sky.
Day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.
The trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. A low‑pressure area is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions within 48 hours, BMD said on Sunday.
Dhaka’s air quality ranked the second worst globally on Monday morning.
