Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts that rainfall will likely increase over the five days starting from 9am on Monday.

A regular bulletin of BMD said, “Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.”

Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere over the country. Day temperature may rise by 1-2°C and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

A trough of low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
