bKash Ltd launched a new gaming feature called “Game Zone” inside its mobile application in Dhaka on 14 June 2026, expanding its digital services into interactive entertainment and competitive online gaming. The platform allows users to access multiple game categories and tournaments directly within the bKash app without downloading separate applications.
The feature was inaugurated at a ceremony held at a hotel in the capital, attended by 16 footballers from Bangladesh’s national men’s and women’s football teams, alongside bKash Chief Product and Technology Officer Azmal Huda. The company said the launch is aimed at making gaming more accessible, engaging and integrated within its existing digital ecosystem.
Through the “Game Zone” icon on the app’s home screen, users can access a range of games including racing, action, arcade, adventure, sports and puzzle titles. The platform also offers regular online tournaments, enabling users to participate in competitive gameplay at their convenience.
As part of the launch, bKash introduced a football-themed game titled “Hamza Vs World”, designed to coincide with heightened interest in the sport. Users can play the game for Tk 1 using a coupon available in the app, selecting a team and competing on a virtual football field in a player-versus-world format.
The company said any bKash app user can access Game Zone through weekly or monthly subscription plans. Once subscribed, users can play more than 100 games provided by different merchants through a single platform. Subscriptions can also be cancelled at any time directly from the Game Zone section of the app.
In addition to casual gaming, the platform will host a variety of tournaments, with users able to compete and win prizes, bKash said in a press statement. The company added that the initiative is intended to enhance user engagement by combining financial services with entertainment features within a unified digital experience.
The launch comes as mobile financial service providers in Bangladesh increasingly diversify beyond payments into lifestyle and digital content offerings, aiming to boost user retention and expand platform usage.
bKash did not indicate any changes to its core transaction services alongside the rollout of the new gaming feature, which remains integrated within the main application interface for existing users.
