Biman Bangladesh Airlines has introduced body cameras for its baggage-handling staff at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to enhance security, transparency, and accountability in managing baggage for both domestic and international flights.
As the airport’s Ground Handling Agent (GHA), the airline has equipped its traffic staff with the body cameras to monitor the entire baggage handling process, from aircraft holds to baggage belts and finally to passengers’ hands, according to a press release.
The initiative aims to ensure consistent security standards for all airlines handled by Biman Bangladesh and to provide greater operational transparency.
In case of any baggage-related complaints, the body camera footage can be reviewed promptly to verify and resolve issues efficiently, making the complaint resolution process faster and more reliable.
The airline said the move reflects its commitment to modern technology, professional service, and a passenger-focused approach, ensuring the safety and confidence of travelers.
