Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, paid rich tribute to the heroic martyrs of the historic Language Movement of 1952 by laying a wreath.

In the early hours of 21 February, the BGB director general placed the wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka to commemorate the brave sons of the nation who sacrificed their lives and shed their blood in 1952 while demanding Bangla as the state language.

The tribute was paid on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day 2026. Senior BGB officials and soldiers of various ranks were present during the ceremony.
