All episodes of BTV’s long-running and much-loved talent show ‘Notun Kuri’ 2025 have now concluded. Talented children and teenagers from across the country competed in 12 categories, including dance, singing, recitation, comedy, storytelling and acting, after being selected through regional, divisional and final rounds. The winners will be honoured at an award ceremony on Thursday, November 13.
Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus will present the awards to the top performers at Shapla Hall, in the Chief Adviser’s Office. The event will also be attended by the Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, advisers from various ministries, as well as the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, senior secretaries and secretaries of other ministries.
The ceremony will mark the conclusion of this year’s Notun Kuri.
In a press release, BTV requested the winning contestants and their guardians to report to BTV’s Dhaka Centre in Rampura on Wednesday, November 12.
Commenting on the programme, BTV Director General Mahbubul Alam said, “Once the main event of Notun Kuri concludes, we plan to create regular television programmes featuring these young talents. The organisation will continue to work with them until the next edition of Notun Kuri. Through these programmes, they will have the chance to further prove their abilities.”
He added that there are also plans to launch a major holiday special titled ‘Shishu Prohor’, where children and teenagers will take part in a variety of performances and creative activities.
“The end of the Notun Kuri awards marks not the finish line, but the true beginning of their artistic journey,” Alam said.
