A group of 48 General Educational Development students from Mentors’ Kalabagan and Banani branches visited the UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus in Banani on Tuesday, accompanied by three teachers.

The update was shared in a press statement issued after the visit. Student representatives and admissions officers welcomed the delegation at the campus.

UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus Provost Chan Joe Jim addressed the students in the university hall and presented an overview of UCSI University, followed by a question-answer session.

He highlighted that UCSI University is the top-ranked private university in Malaysia and placed within the top 1 per cent globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

The university holds 30th position in Asia and 8th in South Asia and is the first foreign university campus in Bangladesh approved by both the Bangladesh and Malaysia governments while delivering an international-standard curriculum.

UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus Faculty of Computer Science and Digital Innovation Dean and Professor Syed Akhter Hossain said the institution offers students the opportunity to obtain international degrees while staying in Bangladesh without foreign currency expenses.

He also shared that the university provides scholarships ranging from 20 per cent to 100 per cent and has introduced a Tk3 crore mega scholarship programme this year.

Following the presentations, the students toured classrooms, laboratories, faculty spaces and student facilities across the campus.
