Bangladesh Bank (BB) has kept export cash incentives unchanged for the 2026-27 fiscal year, maintaining the same sector coverage and incentive rates as the previous fiscal year in a move aimed at ensuring policy continuity for exporters.

In a circular issued on Sunday, the central bank said the export cash incentive scheme will remain in force from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 without any changes to the existing incentive structure.

Under the circular, exporters of 43 designated products will continue to receive cash incentives ranging from 0.30 per cent to 10 per cent, depending on the product category. The incentive rates remain identical to those applicable in FY2025-26.

The incentives will be available subject to the repatriation of export proceeds within the prescribed timeframe and compliance with existing foreign exchange regulations and documentation requirements.

Bangladesh Bank also said all existing eligibility criteria, conditions and operational procedures for receiving the incentives will remain unchanged.

The central bank instructed authorised dealer (AD) banks to properly verify applications and disburse incentives in accordance with the prevailing guidelines.

The decision signals the regulator’s preference for policy stability at a time when exporters continue to face weak global demand and rising production costs.

According to Bangladesh Bank officials, by keeping the incentive structure unchanged, the central bank aims to provide greater predictability for exporters while supporting export growth and diversification into non-traditional products without creating additional fiscal pressure.
