As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka, in partnership with Bank Asia PLC, have announced a month-long Ramadan culinary programme featuring a wide range of local, Mediterranean, Arabic, and sub-continental cuisines.
The Ramadan buffet offerings at both hotels have been curated by internationally experienced chefs Rimoun Obaid, Swapan Rozario, Hiromi Yonekawa and Sait Dursan, aiming to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and tradition throughout the holy month.
At The Westin Dhaka, guests can enjoy the Ramadan buffet at Seasonal Tastes, featuring a fusion of Mediterranean and Arabic flavours, reads a press release.
Menu highlights include lobster kebab, grilled salmon, premium lamb shank, Arabic kabsa, Dhakaiya handi gosht, slow-cooked oxtail stew, and desserts such as Turkish tulumba, pistachio baklava and live knafeh.
At Sheraton Dhaka, The Garden Kitchen will offer an extensive selection of local specialities and international favourites.
The menu includes Peshwari beef nalli nehari, a variety of Turkish kebabs, beef handi gosht, lamb ouzi, seafood paella, and a range of traditional kebabs from Old Dhaka.
Dessert offerings include authentic Turkish baklava varieties such as Sobiyet and cold milk baklava, alongside Katayef Kashta, Mushabak Halabi and other signature Sheraton Ramadan items. Buffet Iftar and Dinner pricing has been set at Tk11,990 at The Westin Dhaka and Tk12,990 at Sheraton Dhaka.
For Suhoor, Seasonal Tastes and The Garden Kitchen will operate on Thursdays, Fridays, and nights before government holidays. Buffet Suhoor pricing is Tk6,990 at The Westin Dhaka and Tk7,990 at Sheraton Dhaka.
A range of card-based promotional offers will be available throughout Ramadan. These include Buy 1 Get 1 (B1G1) offers with selected cards from over 21 banks; Buy 1 Get 2 (B1G2) offers with Islami Bank, Mercantile Bank, NCC Bank and Jamuna Bank Ltd; and Buy 1 Get 3 (B1G3) offers with selected cards from Bank Asia, Dutch-Bangla Bank, NCC Bank, NRB Bank, Trust Bank Limited, BRAC Bank (Fridays only), and Mercantile Bank Ltd from the 16th of Ramadan onwards.
As an exclusive promotion, Bank Asia cardholders will be eligible for a Buy 1 Get 3 (B1G3) offer on Iftar followed by dinner and Suhoor throughout the month at both hotels.
Additionally, diners at Seasonal Tastes will have the opportunity to win a return air ticket from Novoair, while diners at The Garden Kitchen will have the chance to win return air tickets from Air Arabia and Novoair.
For guests preferring to dine at home, both hotels will offer premium Iftar boxes in multiple categories. The Westin Dhaka will provide Platinum Tk11,990, Gold Tk8,990 and Silver Tk7,990 options, while Sheraton Dhaka will offer Luxury Tk12,990, Premium Tk9,490 and Classic Tk8,490 boxes. Traditional Ramadan items such as Shahi haleem and jalebi will also be available for pickup at both hotels.
The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka will further offer banquet facilities for Iftar, dinner and Suhoor events. Sheraton Dhaka’s Grand Ballroom and annex area can accommodate more than 1,000 guests, making it the largest banquet venue in the diplomatic zone.
