The global craze for creating video content using artificial intelligence (AI) has now reached Bangladesh. For the first time, a completely AI-generated cinematic music video has been produced in the country, one that retains the original likeness of the featured artists.
The song, ‘Nijhum Raat’ (Silent Night), is performed by singer Susan Afzal. Written and composed by the singer herself, the music has been arranged by Noman. The track was recently released on YouTube and is also available across major local and international digital platforms. Since its release, the innovative AI-generated video has been met with widespread praise from listeners and viewers alike.
Speaking about the project, Susan Afzal said, “The video for Nijhum Raat was created entirely with AI. Every frame was edited using real character images, maintaining complete realism. This marks a new chapter for AI-based cinematic music videos in Bangladesh. We’re proud to be the first to make something like this and I hope audiences will enjoy it.”
Music director Noman shared, “The song belongs to the melody genre and the gothic cinematic style of the video was designed to complement that mood. Producing a mainstream video entirely with AI was a huge challenge, but working with Susan on creative experiments like this always feels rewarding. I hope the song resonates with listeners.”
Susan Afzal personally handled the video’s graphics, colour grading and editing. Guitar work was done by Shamsuzzaman Zaman, while Noman also managed the music composition, mixing and mastering.
Previously, Susan Afzal released her solo album ‘Andhar Periye’ (Beyond the Darkness), followed by several singles.
