Bangladesh will kick off their SAFF U-20 Championship campaign in the Maldives on Tuesday, facing Pakistan in their opening match.
The match will take place in Male, Maldives, at 4:45 PM Bangladesh time.
Under new coach Mark Cox and with the inclusion of overseas-based players Renan Sullivan and Declan Sullivan, Bangladesh is aiming to start their campaign with a strong squad.
Bangladesh’s only success in this tournament came in 2024 when they won the title, while they have finished as runners-up four times.
This year’s tournament features seven teams. In Group A, the hosts Maldives are joined by Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. In Group B, Bangladesh is grouped with regional heavyweights India and Pakistan.
