A few days after the Asia Cup concluded, Bangladesh have remained in the United Arab Emirates to play a three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. In the series opener at Sharjah International Cricket Stadium, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and opted to bat, sending Bangladesh into the field.
Bangladesh’s squad has undergone a change with Tawhid Hridoy omitted and opener Tanzid Tamim coming in. Captain Litton Das has missed the tour due to injury, with Jaker Ali continuing as captain after leading the side in the last two Asia Cup matches. The team comprises six batters, two spinners, and three pacers.
