Bangladesh’s innings was interrupted by rain as they slumped to 27 for 3 in 6.3 overs against Pakistan in the second ODI at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
Pakistan’s bowlers were in early control, claiming quick wickets. Tanzid was the first to fall, caught at backward square leg for 1 run off Shahin Afridi’s third over. Saif followed immediately, giving a catch to short mid-off on the first ball of Mohammad Wasim’s next over after scoring 12 runs.
Nazmul Hossain was the third to depart, bowled by Afridi for a duck, misjudging a delivery aimed at the stumps.
At stumps, Litton Das and TTowhid Hridoy remained unbeaten, tasked with rebuilding the innings after the top-order collapse. A sudden thunderstorm followed by persistent rain in Mirpur forced a halt to play, leaving Bangladesh in a precarious position.
Earlier, Pakistan’s innings crumbled after a controversial run-out of Salman Ali Agha, leaving the team all out for 274. The visitors lost seven wickets for just 43 runs at the tail end of the innings.
