Members of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) have met with Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam.
The meeting was held on Sunday afternoon in the meeting room of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, according to a press release.
During the meeting, BSRF President Masudul Haq informed that the Ministry of Public Administration has decided to provide healthcare services to accreditation card-holding journalists working in the Secretariat beat at the Secretariat clinic.
Although a letter was sent from the Ministry of Public Administration to the Health Services Division on 22 December 2024 regarding taking necessary measures on this matter, it has not yet been implemented. The BSRF president sought the cooperation of the Information and Broadcasting adviser in initiating healthcare services at the Secretariat clinic for accreditation card-holding journalists.
Furthermore, he requested the adviser to arrange for accreditation card-holding journalists to enter the Secretariat through Gate No 5 as well as Gate No 1.
At this time, the Information and Broadcasting adviser assured that he would sincerely consider the proposals put forth by the BSRF President.
Present during the meeting were BSRF Vice-President Mainul Hossain Pinnu, General Secretary Ubaidullah Badal, along with other members of the Executive Committee.
