Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has reaffirmed Bangladesh’s solidarity with Qatar against any threat to its sovereignty and security.
During his meeting with the Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, Hossain reaffirmed Bangladesh’s solidarity with Qatar “against any threat to its security and sovereignty”.
The two officials exchanged views on a range of bilateral matters. Qatar, in turn, assured its continued cooperation in advancing efforts toward resolving the Rohingya crisis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Sunday, reports UNB.
Touhid also met with the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), where they discussed enhancing the organisation’s engagement in tackling political challenges and fostering collaboration across the continent.
Currently in Bahrain, Touhid is participating in the 21st Manama Dialogue, which convenes international policymakers and leaders to address pressing regional and global security concerns.
On the sidelines of the event, he held several bilateral meetings on Saturday aimed at deepening regional cooperation, peace, and mutual relations.
