Bangladesh has been invited to participate in a tri-nation series in Sri Lanka, which could be scheduled between the upcoming Ireland tour and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
According to Nazmul Abedin, chairman of the Cricket Operations Department, the proposal from Sri Lanka is under consideration.
The Bangladesh-Ireland series is set to conclude on 2 December, while the BPL is expected to begin around 14–15 December, leaving a two-week window that could accommodate the tri-nation series.e
The BCB is weighing the option carefully, as players have been engaged in continuous cricket for the past two months.
With the T20 World Cup approaching next year, this short interval is one of the few opportunities for rest.
While it is not yet known which other team Sri Lanka has invited, the board is optimistic about participating in the series.
