Bangladesh A Women produced a commanding all-round display to defeat Pakistan A Women by 54 runs in the second semi-final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars on 20 February 2026, booking their place in the final against India.
In what turned into a one-sided contest, Bangladesh defended a modest total of 110 with disciplined bowling and sharp fielding to bowl Pakistan out for just 56 in 16.4 overs.
After being put in to bat, Bangladesh struggled to build sustained partnerships. The opening stand yielded only 19 runs inside four overs before Shamima Sultana departed for 13. Ishma Tanjim added 12, while Sharmin Sultana contributed 15, but regular wickets prevented any real momentum.
Captain Fahima Khatun stood firm amid the collapse. She struck an unbeaten 40 from 32 balls, hitting five boundaries and holding one end together as wickets fell around her. None of the remaining batters reached double figures, and Bangladesh closed their innings at 110 for 8 from 20 overs.
Hafsa Khalid was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers with two wickets.
Defending 111, Bangladesh made early inroads. Faria Trishna bowled Iman Nasir cheaply before Fahima removed Shawal Zulfiqar in the following over. Sanjida Akter Meghla then dismissed Huraina Sajid as Pakistan slipped into trouble at the top.
From there, Pakistan never recovered. Wickets fell at regular intervals under sustained pressure from Bangladesh’s bowlers. By the time the total approached 50, seven batters had already been dismissed.
Hafsa Khalid top-scored with 12, while Yusra Amir made 11, but no other batter managed to reach double figures. Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 56, handing Bangladesh a comprehensive 54-run victory.
Sanjida Akter Meghla claimed three wickets, while Fahima capped her all-round performance with two scalps.
