The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections, initially scheduled for 4 October, have been postponed by two days and will now take place on 6 October. The BCB officially announced the revised schedule today, Sunday.
Earlier this month, the BCB formed a three-member Election Commission, appointing senior advocate Mohammad Hossain of the Bangladesh Supreme Court as the Chief Election Commissioner. Following this, the election timetable was released, outlining the key dates for nomination collection and submission.

The BCB Board of Directors will be elected by councillors. According to the BCB constitution, 76 of the 171 councillors come from Dhaka clubs. Among the 25 board members, 12 are elected from club cricket, while 10 represent divisional and regional levels. The BCB president will be chosen by the elected directors.
Several prominent figures have declared their candidacy for the board this year. Former captain Tamim Iqbal and current president Aminul Islam Bulbul are expected to contest the president’s post, with former president Faruk Ahmed also a possible contender.
