Police recovered the hanging body of an auto-rickshaw driver from a rented house in Charjabbar union of Subarnachar upazila in Noakhali.
The deceased was identified as Md Riaz Uddin, 35, son of Md Chowdhury of Harun Majhi Bari in Charhasan village under the same union. He worked as an auto-rickshaw driver in Companiganj upazila.
Police said they recovered the body on Friday afternoon after receiving information. They sent the body to the morgue for post-mortem.
Authorities suspect that he died by suicide sometime on Thursday night. He allegedly hung himself from a beam inside his residence using a rope.
Police believe family disputes may have triggered the incident.
Officer-in-charge of Charjabbar Police Station Lutfur Rahman said a case of unnatural death has been filed in this regard.
