The investigation revealed that the motorcycle had changed hands multiple times, making ownership identification a complicated process.

The original owner was Abdur Rahman. It was later sold successively to Shahidul, Rasel, then to Obaidul Islam through an online marketplace, followed by Anarul, and again to Obaidul, before finally being sold to a person named Shuvo.

After a total of eight transfers, the motorcycle was purchased in the name of Mainuddin Islam using the national identity card of Md Kabir, an associate of Faisal Karim Masud, prime suspect for the attack.

The recovered motorcycle, helmet and fake number plate have been handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) for further legal proceedings.
