Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain will hold an emergency press conference on urgent issues on Wednesday afternoon.
The briefing is scheduled for 3pm at the conference room of the Local Government Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
In a text message, Public Relations Officer Md Salauddin invited all media workers to attend the press conference.
Speculation has intensified in recent days over which political party Asif Mahmud may join ahead of the upcoming national election and whether he will step down from his advisory role before announcing his candidacy.
Sources at the adviser’s office said he may address these issues at Wednesday’s press conference.
