After years of anticipation, Bangladeshi band Ashes is finally releasing their long-awaited track ‘Pheriwala’ today. The music video will premiere at 6:00 pm on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Frontman Junaid Ivan first hinted at the song back in 2016, when he shared a couple of lines on Facebook, sparking early curiosity among listeners. A demo version later surfaced in 2019, but the full release remained pending for years, building steady anticipation among fans.

Over time, Pheriwala became something of an online phenomenon, with hundreds of comments accumulating under the YouTube demo. Many listeners repeatedly returned to check for updates, while others expressed deep emotional attachment to the song’s wait, turning it into a shared experience within the fan community.

The track will feature on Ashes’ upcoming album ‘Bibhrom’ as its fourth release. Written and composed by Junaid Ivan, the song has also been newly recorded for its official launch. The accompanying video was shot across locations in Canada and Kaptai Lake in Rangamati.

Speaking about the release, Ivan said the song has been in development for more than a decade and he did not expect its journey to take so long. He added that the sustained interest from listeners over the years has been overwhelming, making the official release especially meaningful for the band.
