Bollywood actors Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s upcoming romantic musical, directed by Anurag Basu, will now arrive in cinemas on 30 April, 2027, following another change to its release schedule.
The makers announced the new release date on 15 October, confirming that the yet-untitled film will reach theatres next year.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, the project will bring Kartik and Sreeleela together on screen for the first time.
T-Series announced the date on social media alongside a photograph of the lead actors, writing that a new story was ready to unfold on the big screen.
The film was initially scheduled for release in December 2025 before its timeline shifted, with the latest announcement confirming its April 2027 arrival.
The film marks a significant milestone for both actors, particularly Sreeleela, who will make her Hindi cinema debut in a leading role opposite Kartik.
Early promotional footage has offered glimpses of Kartik in a rugged, bearded look, portraying a musician performing with a guitar before an audience.
The visuals also feature romantic moments between the lead pair, including scenes of them riding a motorcycle and spending time together around a bonfire.
Although the makers have kept the plot and official title under wraps, they have described the project as a romantic musical, with music playing a central role in the story.
Composer Pritam, a frequent collaborator of Basu, is handling the film’s music. Basu and Pritam have previously worked together on films including Barfi!, Jagga Jasoos and Metro… In Dino.
Sreeleela has previously expressed admiration for Basu’s approach to filmmaking, describing him as an exceptional director and praising the layered nature of his storytelling.
The actress, who has established herself in Telugu and Kannada cinema, has attracted attention in Hindi-speaking markets through her work in South Indian films and her appearance in the song ‘Kissik’ from Pushpa 2.
Kartik, meanwhile, continues to pursue projects across different genres. His upcoming films include Naagzilla and Captain India, adding to a career that has featured several romantic comedies and dramas.
With its new release date confirmed, the Anurag Basu-directed musical will bring together a fresh on-screen pairing, an established filmmaker and Pritam’s music.
Further details, including the film’s official title and additional cast members, are awaited.
