Argentine legend Claudio Caniggia will visit Dhaka next month to join the AFB Latin Bangla Super Cup 2025. This will be one of the biggest football events in the country this year, bringing international stars and high-level competition to Bangladeshi fans.
Dhaka will host the tournament from December 5 to 11 at Dhaka National Stadium. The event promises several days of exciting football action, culminating on December 11 when fans will get the chance to see Caniggia in person.
In a special video message, Caniggia shared his excitement about visiting Bangladesh. “Hello Bangladesh, I am Claudio Caniggia. I am happy to be part of this event. I hope to see you all soon on December 11 at the AFB Latin Bangla Super Cup and enjoy it together,” he said. His message has sparked great enthusiasm among local football fans.
The tournament will feature two international teams representing Argentina and Brazil, alongside Bangladesh’s high-performance team. MD Asaduzzaman, head of AF Boxing Promotion International, said Caniggia’s participation will add a special dimension to the event. “Football fans will get a rare chance to see him closely. His presence will make the tournament even more exciting and memorable,” he added.
Ceaniggia is celebrated worldwide for his brilliant performances in the 1990 and 1994 World Cups. As a teammate of Diego Maradona, he played a key role in some of Argentina’s most memorable football moments. His visit to Dhaka marks a historic moment for Bangladeshi football, giving fans a chance to see one of Argentina’s most iconic players live.
