MG Bangladesh is preparing to launch the all-new MG HS with two hybrid variants — Super Hybrid and Hybrid+ — marking one of the biggest entries into the country’s hybrid passenger vehicle segment.
The new series, featuring plug-in hybrid technology and extended electric mobility, will be introduced with a focus on fuel efficiency, comfort and lower emissions, the distributor said on Tuesday.
The Super Hybrid model comes equipped with plug-in hybrid electric vehicle capability, which allows over 120 kilometres of pure electric driving, suitable for short, emission-free trips.
On a full charge and a full fuel tank, the same variant provides a combined driving range of more than 1,000 kilometres.
The Hybrid+ model uses a dual-mode powertrain that automatically switches between electric and petrol drive to optimise efficiency and performance.
Both power systems use intelligent energy management to reduce emissions, improve fuel economy and deliver smoother transitions between driving modes.
The MG HS, a C-segment sports utility vehicle, is already popular in Bangladesh for its design and features, and the new hybrid edition aims to expand its presence with cleaner and more efficient mobility options.
The MG HS has previously won Best Plug-in Hybrid and Best Family SUV at the WhatCar? Awards 2025, along with Best Manufacturer at the Autocar Awards 2025.
The model has also posted strong sales in several global markets, including the United Kingdom, parts of Europe, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Middle East.
Pre-booking for both MG HS variants has started at all MG Bangladesh showrooms and authorised dealer outlets.
