Anupama Parameswaran has addressed the breakup rumours surrounding her and her Bison Kaalamaadan co-star Dhruv Vikram after a cryptic Instagram post sent fans into a frenzy.
According to Hindustan Times, Anupama dismissed the speculation while speaking at the teaser launch of her upcoming film Crazy Kalyanam. She made it clear that her social media posts should not automatically be linked to her personal life.
Anupama had recently returned to Instagram after remaining inactive since February. In a video featuring moments from her time in nature and by the beach, she wrote about healing, freedom and choosing herself. The emotional message quickly prompted speculation that she had ended her rumoured relationship with Dhruv.
Addressing the reactions, Anupama said, “It’s my social media account. I decide what to post. I was not venting out. I was just talking about the transition of a woman. And I feel proud that I did that.”
She also questioned those attempting to interpret the post as a message about her relationship. “What do you know about me? What do you know about my life? So, it’s okay. It is our Instagram, and we post whatever we like,” she said.
In her original post, Anupama wrote about letting go of “dead ends” and finding peace. She said she was choosing her voice and her life, while thanking fans for standing by her and supporting her through difficult moments.
She ended the post by celebrating “healing”, “freedom” and the decision to choose herself.
Rumours linking Anupama and Dhruv first surfaced in 2025 when they worked together on Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan. An unverified image, reportedly showing the two kissing, also circulated online around the same period.
Their appearances together at awards events further fuelled the speculation. Earlier this year, Anupama appeared to blush when Dhruv wished her on her birthday from the stage. She also referred to him as her “2 AM call”.
Dhruv later shared a cosy selfie with Anupama from another awards event in Mumbai. She reposted it on her Instagram Stories with a heart emoji.
Despite the speculation surrounding their equation, neither actor has publicly confirmed that they were in a relationship.
