Amir Hamza, the Member of Parliament for Kushtia-3 constituency, has issued a special request to his supporters and the general public, calling for restraint and gracious conduct in response to criticism directed at him.
In a social media post shared early on Friday morning, the MP urged his followers across all levels of society not to use offensive language or engage in “media trials”.
“I humbly request my fellow countrymen and supporters: please do not set an example by responding with bad language in places where media trials are held or where I am insulted,” he wrote.
Hamza advised his supporters that if they wish to respond, they should either explain matters politely or simply remain silent and ignore the provocations. He emphasised that under no circumstances should anyone use harsh words on his behalf.
“It is our desire that one believer remains safe from the tongue of another,” he added, citing a religious principle.
Addressing the insults aimed at him, the MP stated that he remains unperturbed by such criticism, asserting that “Allah is sufficient” for him. He concluded his message by expressing his firm conviction that “truth will surely triumph over falsehood”.
