Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets for the last day of Eid-ul-Adha journey. To facilitate a smoother experience for homebound passengers, 100 per cent of the seats are being sold online.

The advance sales for travel on 27 May began on Sunday morning, with the assumption that Eid-ul-Adha will fall on 28 May.

Tickets for trains operating in the Western zone became available at 8am, while those for the Eastern zone were scheduled for release at 2pm.

According to the railway’s action plan, tickets for five days of travel are being sold in advance. Sales for travel on 23, 24, 25, and 26 May were conducted on 13, 14, 15, and 16 May, respectively.

Under the current regulations, a single passenger is permitted to purchase a maximum of four tickets once during the advance sale period. Bangladesh Railway has specified that these advance tickets are non-refundable.

Furthermore, the sale of tickets for 28, 29, and 30 May will be subject to the sighting of the moon.
