The Bangladesh national football team will face Afghanistan in a FIFA international friendly at the National Stadium in Dhaka on 13 November, as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against India.
Despite already being eliminated from the Asian Cup qualifiers with two matches still to play, the fixture will provide valuable match practice for the men in red and green before their Group C encounter with India on 18 November, which will also be held at the National Stadium.
Afghanistan, ranked 162nd in the FIFA standings, will arrive in Dhaka on 10 November. The visitors are also set to play in the Asian Cup qualifiers, taking on Myanmar at the Bashundhara Kings Arena on 18 November. Bangladesh, currently ranked 183rd, will look to use the friendly to test combinations and restore confidence following a disappointing qualification campaign.
According to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) sources, the Afghan team will leave Dhaka on 19 November after completing their two scheduled matches.
