After Bangladesh secured the T20 series against Afghanistan with a match to spare, pacer Hasan Mahmud has set his sights on winning the upcoming ODI series. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 16-member squad shortly after the second T20I, with Hasan included in the side.
The ODI squad departed for the United Arab Emirates on 4 October. Speaking at the airport, Hasan said, “We’ve already won the T20 series. Now it’s time for the ODIs. The weather there is quite similar to Bangladesh, very hot but we’ll adjust. Keep us in your prayers.”
Joining Hasan were captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tanvir Islam, and Nahid Rana, while opener Naim Sheikh could not travel due to visa issues.
Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in three ODIs at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 8, 11, and 14 October.
