E-commerce giant Amazon has unveiled new features in their existing products to stand out in the competition and to create a touch of something new. For a long time now, researchers were looking forward to utilising AI into their products to create something new. And they have done it with full effort.
Alexa+ is the successor to the original Alexa. Amazon, by taking this product into consideration, has created 4 products of the Echo line. These products are meant to use the AlexaAI to create more futuristic and human sounding conversations and to create a system that can deal with almost anything.
With the integration of the Alexa+, these products will be able to execute tasks effectively. The Echo products will be using the AZ3 system which is the best sound detection system (works as a microphone and a signal to code transmitter).
Omnisense, a siliconized product, will be used in the Echo systems that will contain sensors and a 13-megapixel camera to be used as a security camera, thermal sensor, and so on.
Amazon’s Scribe is another product which is seeing the new light of day. Previously, Scribe was mostly monotonous. Now, colours are being introduced into it. This will have a new form factor. This means that it will be exactly like paper and will be only 5.4mm thick, weigh 400g, and will be 40% faster for writing and turning pages.
The 11-inch glare-free display will replicate the proportions of a sheet of paper giving you the perfect feel of writing and using one. The most important thing is that instead of having a front facing light, this new Scribe will be having colours that will be soothing to the eyes. Also, it will be powered by AI which will allow users to obtain information just by searching. It will also have internet access making it easier to save and download books.
With these additions, Amazon is pushing toward a future where smart tech doesn’t just work for us but works with us. From an Alexa that sounds almost like a friend to a Scribe that feels like real paper, the future of everyday gadgets suddenly feels much closer.
