After the success of the inaugural edition, there was high anticipation surrounding the second season of the NCL T20. The excitement was particularly evident in Rajshahi and Bogura, where matches were scheduled to be held, drawing noticeable interest from local fans. However, continuous rain has dampened the mood and ultimately forced the indefinite postponement of the tournament.

The second edition of the NCL T20 began on 14 September. On the opening day, there were fears that the match in Rajshahi would be washed out. Although the game eventually went ahead, it was reduced to just five overs per side due to rain.

The match scheduled in Bogura on the same day was abandoned without a ball being bowled. With the weather forecast predicting more rain over the following two days, the remaining Bogura fixtures were moved to Rajshahi. However, that decision also failed to yield better results.

Even after the relocation, matches in Rajshahi continued to be affected. Out of six scheduled matches over three consecutive days, only one could be completed, while the remaining five were abandoned due to persistent rain.

Given the uncertain weather conditions and no clear indication of when the rain might subside, the tournament committee has decided to postpone the second edition of the NCL T20 indefinitely.
