Actress and BRAC senior official Rafiath Rashid Mithila has added a new feather to her cap. She has successfully defended her PhD thesis at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
Sharing the news on Facebook late Monday night, Mithila wrote: “I am very emotional and proud to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD thesis at the University of Geneva! This moment marks the end of a five-year journey, full of experiences mixed with joy and sorrow.”
Reflecting on the challenge, she said the journey was like taking the “path less traveled,” as she had to balance her full-time professional career, occasional acting projects and family responsibilities alongside her research. “This experience has taught me resilience, showing me how much I can truly handle,” she noted.
Expressing gratitude to her family, friends and colleagues, Mithila added, “From today, I can proudly add the title ‘Dr.’ to my name; a title I have earned through relentless hard work.”
