Bank Asia PLC organized a financial literacy workshop at Sirajdikhan Upazila in Munshiganj on 23 August 2025, aimed at promoting financial awareness and inclusion. The event brought together a large number of agents and customers from across the district.
Bangladesh Bank, Financial Inclusion Department Director Md Iqbal Mohasin attended as the Chief Guest. The session was presided over by Bank Asia PLC, Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Molla, with Executive Vice President Md Serajul Islam and other senior bank officials also present.
The workshop focused on key issues related to customer safety and financial awareness, including banking products and services, foreign remittance, financial management, planning, and cyber security. Participants took part in interactive discussions, strengthening their understanding of financial practices and improving their knowledge.
Since the launch of Agent Banking in 2014, Bank Asia has become a leader in this sector, serving over 7 million customers, with 92% from rural areas and 64% women. The Bank also distributes government social safety-net allowances to 3.4 million beneficiaries across the country, furthering its commitment to financial inclusion.
