Bangladesh recorded one Covid-19 death in the past 24 hours, while no new infections were reported, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The latest death brings this year’s total fatalities from the virus to 32.
During the period, 24 tests were conducted, all returning negative, keeping the positivity rate at zero.
Since the pandemic began in 2020, the cumulative death toll has reached 29,531.
The first Covid-19 case in the country was confirmed on March 8, 2020, with the first death occurring 10 days later on March 18, 2020.
