For the first time, the Bangladesh national futsal team will take part in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers. The challenge ahead is formidable — Bangladesh has been placed in Group ‘G’ alongside the reigning champions and hosts Iran, as well as Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. To prepare for this grand stage, an open trial is being organised in Dhaka.
For those skilled in futsal and aged between 18 and 35, this could be a rare opportunity to represent the country on the national team.

The AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers will take place from 20 to 24 September. A total of 31 teams will participate, divided into eight groups — each group containing four teams (except one group with three). The eight group winners and the seven best runners-up will qualify for the final round, to be held in Indonesia in January alongside the hosts.
Bangladesh aims to make a mark in this qualifier, and to finalise the national squad, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has taken the initiative to organise this open trial.
Bangladesh is still relatively new to the global futsal scene, but the potential is immense. This initiative seeks to find talented and experienced players, strengthen the national team’s pipeline, and begin a new chapter in the country’s futsal history.
