Pubali Bank PLC and United Healthcare Services Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding and launched a credit-card and banking-products sales campaign that will give United Healthcare doctors and employees complimentary credit cards and other banking benefits.

The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two organisations and expanding banking services for customers, while Pubali cardholders will receive discounts of up to 20% on pathological and radiological tests at United Healthcare, the bank said in a press release on Sunday.

Md Shahnewaz Khan, deputy managing director of Pubali Bank, and Mohammad Faizur Rahman, chief executive officer of United Healthcare Services, attended the programme.

Under the campaign, all doctors and employees of United Healthcare will be eligible for complimentary Pubali Bank credit cards along with other banking facilities.

Abu Raihan Al Beruni, chief financial officer of United Healthcare Services, Subroto Kumer Shuvo, assistant general manager, and Tareq Sami Rahman, head of corporate affairs, were also present.

Pubali Bank was represented by Sukanta Chandra Banik, general manager and head of Gulshan Corporate Branch; N M Firoz Kamal, deputy general manager and head of Card Business Division; Md Abu Nasar, deputy general manager and advance in-charge at Gulshan Corporate Branch; Mossabbir Hossain Talukder, assistant general manager and head of Card Sales; and Md Ashadulla Khan, assistant general manager and head of Card Marketing.

Other senior officials from both organisations also attended the event.

Under the agreement, all Pubali Bank cardholders will be able to receive discounts of up to 20% on pathological and radiological tests at United Healthcare.
