Miscreants set fire to a parked bus in front of the Technical Training Centre (TTC) in Mymensingh city early Sunday.
The incident occurred around 12:10am. No casualties were reported.
After receiving the information, police and two Fire Service units reached the scene and brought the blaze under control after about 30 minutes of effort.
Vehicular movement on the Mymensingh Medical College Road was suspended for a short period.
The fire also damaged a power transformer line, prompting the power department to suspend electricity supply to the Maskanda Fishery Office and TTC areas.
Kamrul Hasan, superintendent of police in Mymensingh, said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
