Banglalink has secured the top position in eight out of 11 key performance indicators (KPIs) in the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission’s (BTRC) Quality of Service (QoS) assessment for July 2026, the digital operator said in a press release.
The operator ranked first across network, district and upazila-level KPIs in BTRC’s monthly report on the QoS of cellular mobile phone operators. The assessment covered all major mobile operators, including Grameenphone, Robi and Teletalk.
Banglalink achieved the highest rankings in 2G Call Setup Success, 4G Average UE (User Equipment) Throughput DL (downlink), 4G E-RAB Non-Retainability, VoLTE Call Setup Success, VoLTE Drop/Abnormal Release, Mixed Voice Setup Success, CSFB Success and SMS Completion.
The report marks the first time QoS submissions from mobile operators have been reconciled, reviewed and verified by BTRC, with performance data assessed at national, district and upazila levels.
Commenting on the achievement, Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer of Banglalink, said, “This achievement validates our intense focus on network architecture and operational performance. We aim to maintain consistency and strive for greatness in terms of infrastructure optimisation, ensuring stable service for our consumers and maintaining highly reliable network connectivity across Bangladesh.”
Banglalink said the current QoS assessment primarily reflects mobile network performance from a network-centric perspective. Under the revised framework, BTRC has introduced a structured process to independently review and validate operator-submitted QoS data, providing a more comprehensive assessment of network performance across geographic areas.
The company said it is strengthening its digital ecosystem through network connectivity, Direct-to-Cell satellite connectivity with Starlink, Voice over Wi-Fi services, Toffee, an infotainment-focused over-the-top (OTT) platform, and digital financial services through its payment subsidiary Mukto Pay.
