BRAC Bank PLC has partnered with the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to provide employee banking services, including salary accounts, multi-currency debit cards, credit cards, personal loans and savings products, to BGMEA officials and employees.
The agreement was signed on 3 September 2026 by Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank, and Mahmud Hasan Khan, President of BGMEA, the bank said in a press release.
Under the partnership, BGMEA employees and officials will receive access to financial solutions designed to support their daily banking needs and long-term financial goals. The services include privileged salary accounts, DPS and FD facilities, along with exclusive corporate benefits and privileges.
BRAC Bank also inaugurated a 24/7 ATM facility inside the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, alongside the agreement signing ceremony. The new facility will enable visitors, apparel entrepreneurs and staff to make cash deposits and withdrawals more conveniently.
Representing BRAC Bank at the ceremony were Md Mahiul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Retail Banking; Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Branch Distribution Network; AKM Faisal Halim, Head of Transaction Banking; and other officials.
BGMEA representatives included Enamul Haq Khan, Senior Vice President; Mijanur Rahman, Vice President (Finance); Major General (Retd) Dr Md Shahedul Islam, Secretary General; Md Shamsul Arefin, Finance Controller; and Eng Md Sorowardi Shikder, Chief Engineer.
