Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone marked their daughter Dua’s second birthday with a series of previously unseen photographs from their maternity shoot, writes NDTV.
On 8 September, Ranveer shared the monochrome pictures on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the couple’s private family moments.
In some of the images, Ranveer and Deepika are seen spending time with Dua, while another shows Ranveer embracing Deepika as she displays her baby bump.
“Baby Dua and our hearts are getting bigger! Thank you for your blessings!” Ranveer wrote alongside the photographs.
The post soon attracted reactions from several members of the film industry.
Ranveer’s Dhurandhar co-star Danish Pandor commented, “Mashallah beautiful,” while Sara Arjun described them as “The most adorable family.”
Dua was born on 8 September, 2024. The couple has largely kept their daughter away from public attention.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first met while working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013.
They later appeared together in films including Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
The couple reportedly became engaged privately in 2015 and married three years later at Lake Como in Italy.
Their 14 November, 2018 wedding included ceremonies representing Deepika’s Konkani heritage and Ranveer’s Sindhi background.
They welcomed their first child, Dua, in 2024. On 19 April this year, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child.
Deepika will next appear in King, an action film directed by Siddharth Anand and led by Shah Rukh Khan.
The cast also includes Suhana Khan, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji and Anil Kapoor.
She is also set to star opposite Allu Arjun in Raaka, directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures.
Meanwhile, Ranveer will feature in Pralay, an upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie survival thriller set in a dystopian, near-future Mumbai devastated by a deadly pandemic.
