Prime Bank PLC hosted a high-level delegation from the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, at its corporate head office in Dhaka on September 1, 2026, as both institutions explored opportunities to strengthen strategic cooperation in trade finance and economic development. Prime Bank said in a press release that the meeting focused on expanding cross-border trade finance solutions and supporting Bangladesh’s key trade and economic sectors.

The ITFC delegation was led by Chief Executive Officer Eng. Adeeb Yousuf Al Aama, who is visiting Bangladesh as part of an official high-level IsDB-ITFC mission from August 30 to September 3, 2026, following an invitation from the Government of Bangladesh. The delegation held discussions with Prime Bank’s senior management team, led by CEO Faisal Rahman, alongside key executive leadership.

The discussions covered potential areas of collaboration, including trade facilities, foreign exchange liquidity frameworks and sustainable financing programmes in the region. Both institutions expressed optimism about future cooperation and the possibility of joint initiatives to support trade and economic growth.

The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by Prime Bank and ITFC to expand financial cooperation and develop solutions that facilitate international trade and sustainable economic activity.
