Alhaj Md Ruhul Amin has been unanimously elected chairperson of Sonar Bangla Insurance Limited, while Shahidul Islam Niru has been re‑elected vice‑chairperson.
The appointments were confirmed at the 154th meeting of the company’s Board of Directors, held recently.
Ruhul Amin, the newly elected chairperson, is a Sponsor Director and former vice‑chairperson of Sonar Bangla Insurance.
He also serves as director and chairman of Sonar Bangla Capital Management Limited, a subsidiary of the insurer.
In addition, he is chairman and managing director of Comfort Group, a leading business conglomerate. Widely regarded in business circles, he has extensive experience and is actively engaged in social activities.
Shahidul is the director of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industry (BCI) and owner of Eco Agro Farm. He is also a General Body Member of FBCCI. Known in the business community, he has broad experience and remains involved in social initiatives.
