Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman inspected various roads within Dhaka North City Corporation on Friday. In an effort to personally assess the cleanliness of Dhaka’s thoroughfares, the prime minister drove the vehicle himself during the tour.

Confirming the visit, Tarique’s Deputy Press Secretary, Zahidul Islam Roni, said the PM has repeatedly expressed his vision for Dhaka to be a “Clean City.” This desire prompted the PM to conduct field inspection to observe current conditions firsthand.

Tarique departed from his Gulshan residence at 4:05pm, driving the car himself. According to the deputy press secretary, his vehicle was seen passing through Shyamoli area at approximately 6:10pm.

Accompanying the PM in the vehicle were State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam, North City Corporation Administrator Safiqul Islam Milton, and BNP Special Secretary Belayet Hossain.

Also present were his Private Secretary Mehedul Islam and Assistant Private Secretary Abdur Rahman Sani.
