Ananta Garments Limited, a concern of Ananta Companies, has received the SDG Brand Champion Award in the “Affordable and Clean Energy” category for its contribution to sustainable production and energy efficiency.
The award recognised the garment manufacturer for its efforts in adopting energy-efficient practices and promoting responsible business operations.
Only two organisations received recognition in the category, with Ananta Garments being the sole apparel manufacturing company among the winners, according to the company.
The recognition highlights the growing importance of sustainability initiatives in Bangladesh’s export-oriented garment industry, where manufacturers are under increasing pressure to improve resource efficiency and meet global environmental standards.
Ananta Garments said the award reflects its long-term commitment to sustainable manufacturing, efficient energy use and responsible business practices.
The company said it will continue investing in environmentally friendly production systems and energy efficiency measures to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The company expects the recognition to encourage further initiatives in sustainable industrial development while supporting efforts to make Bangladesh’s garment sector more competitive in global markets.
