Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan has said that the government wants to implement the July Charter word for word.
He made the remarks around 10:30am Thursday while speaking to journalists after placing floral tributes at July 36 Square in Rangpur city.
The minister said, “Both the ruling party and the opposition want to institutionalise democracy, and likewise we want to implement the July Charter word for word. We are committed to implementing the Charter.”
He added, “July is our spirit. By honoring every July fighter and martyr, we are working so that we can build a prosperous Bangladesh.”
At July Square, State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad, MP Rezeka Sultana Fency, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Shamsuzzaman Samu, City Administrator Mahfuzun Nabi Don, along with people from various professions, paid floral tributes.
