Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has said canal re‑excavation will ensure proper water flow and relieve Chattogram residents from the suffering of floods.
The minister also said that the government will implement all necessary measures to rehabilitate those affected by recent floods and help them return to normal life.
He made the remarks Wednesday morning while distributing relief in Halishahar area of Chattogram city.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Shahadat Hossain, Member of Parliament Saeed Al Noman, and Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Zahidul Islam Mia also spoke at the event.
