The Pokémon Company has unveiled another addition to its year-long 30th anniversary celebrations, this time with a collection designed to appeal to fans of the franchise’s earliest games.
According to Screen Rant, The Pokémon Company has partnered with clothing retailer Uniqlo to launch a special line of T-shirts inspired by Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. The collection focuses on the original generation of games and celebrates the series’ roots with classic artwork and nostalgic designs.
The 30th anniversary campaign has already featured collaborations, merchandise, video game updates and new releases. While many of those projects have highlighted newer titles, including Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, several have also revisited earlier generations. Previous anniversary products have celebrated Pokémon Gold and Silver, as well as Ruby and Sapphire. The latest collection returns to the Kanto region, where the franchise first began.
The range includes T-shirts featuring original sprite artwork of iconic Pokémon such as Gengar, Mewtwo and Pikachu. Another design showcases the signature Pokémon of all eight Kanto Gym Leaders alongside their respective levels, recreating the visual style of the original games. The use of classic sprites reinforces the retro aesthetic and targets fans who grew up with the franchise’s earliest titles.
Uniqlo has previously collaborated with Pokémon on several clothing collections, including its recent customisable Pokopia range. The company has previewed multiple designs from the new anniversary line, offering fans a variety of options inspired by the original games.
The Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collection is scheduled to launch in July 2026. While the current range focuses on Pokémon Red and Blue, many fans are expected to hope that future collections will also celebrate other regions and generations. For now, the latest collaboration delivers a nostalgic tribute to the games that introduced the world to Pokémon.
