Bangladesh Bar Council, the regulatory body for lawyers, has scheduled the written examination for lawyer enrollment for 22 August. The announcement was made in a notification signed by council Secretary Mohammad Kamal Hossain Sikder on Tuesday.
According to the decision taken at a meeting of the Bar Council Enrollment Committee on 6 July, the written test for candidates who passed the Enrollment MCQ examination held on12 June will take place from 9am to 1pm on 22 August.
All candidates for the written examination must fill out their respective forms or submit their profiles using the designated web link (bar.teletalk.com.bd). Failure to do so will result in the non-issuance of admit cards for the written exam.
Detailed information regarding online form completion and fee payment for “re-appear” candidates, as well as profile submission for “regular” candidates, will be published soon in accordance with examination rules.
Notably, the lawyer enrollment MCQ exam was held on 12 June, with 37,080 examinees participating. Among them, 9,201 candidates passed in the first stage. Among the successful candidates is Zaima Rahman, daughter of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
