A man was killed when a covered van hit his motorcycle in Monohardi, Narsingdi on Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 8:45pm, said Monohardi Police Station’s Officer‑in‑charge Md Jahangir Badsha.
Deceased Masikur Rahman Liton Bhuiyan, 45, of Binnabaid in Belabo upazila.
OC Jahangir said the incident took place while Masikur was travelling from Belabo towards Narsingdi.
After the accident, locals took him to Shibpur Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.
The van driver has been detained, the vehicle seized, and legal proceedings are underway, the OC said.
